Nug of the Week and Places to Smoke It: Forbidden Fruit by Doc & Yeti

If you haven't had Doc & Yeti's award winning Forbidden Fruit yet, then you're missing out. This Cherry Pie x Tangie cross takes on a deep, reddish hue and carries the heavy scent of its Tangie parent. Smoking Forbidden Fruit takes an introvert like myself and completely flips the coin, making me the most social butterfly in the room. I would also consider this strain to be mood uplifting and giggly, so be prepared for some giggly conversations that 100% give away how high you are. Be warned - this is a very potent strain, so if you have a lower tolerance, I'd recommend starting low and slow on this strain. But if you've been looking for that high that makes you feel like it's your first time smoking all over again, I would recommend picking up some Forbidden Fruit from Doc & Yeti - available in our Georgetown and Capitol Hill locations. We unfortunately don't have and Forbidden Fruit flower in Bremerton, but you can certainly enjoy it in concentrate form! Make sure you grab some Forbidden Fruit, and then check out our curated list of things going on around Washington that we recommend getting high for.

Pagdiriwang Philippine Festival - Seattle Center, June 4 & 5

The Filipino Cultural Heritage Society of Washington (FCHSW) proudly presents Pagdiriwang, commemorating the anniversary of Philippine Independence. Held on the first or second week of June at the Seattle Center since 1987, the event has grown into the largest festival of Filipino arts and culture in the Pacific Northwest.

This celebration is a part of Seattle Center Festál, a series of cultural programs sponsored by the City of Seattle. Pagdiriwang provides a venue for Filipinos and non-Filipinos alike to learn about the culture. It is an ideal setting for presenting art, craft, song, dance, music, history, literature, and culture to promote better understanding of the Filipino cultural heritage.

New Kids On The Block - Climate Pledge Arena, June 4

Multiplatinum selling pop super-group New Kids On The Block continues the party like nobody else can with the announcement of The MixTape Tour 2022, with their friends Salt-N-Pepa, Rick Astley and En Vogue as legendary special guests. Purity Ring - Neptune Theater, June 3 & 4

After multiple cancellations due to Covid-19, as well as a relocation, the Purity Ring tour de womb is finally happening this weekend! WOMB chronicles a quest for comfort, the search for a resting place in a world where so much is beyond our control. The striking vulnerability of “ruby insides” - “If I could, I would let you see through me” - charts a course that’s both intensely personal and deeply connected to those close to us, our kin whether by nature or nurture. As the ground shifts beneath their feet, WOMB’s characters help one another face death, despair, and world-altering discovery with resilience and grace. I am personally excited for this show and will be in the crowd, so if you see me crying in the front of GA, no you didn't.

King Bach @ Tacoma Comedy Club- June 3 & 4

If you're on social media, then you've definitely come across at least one of King Bach's videos before - he's that viral. This comedian has come far from just being an Internet personality though - you can catch him in feature films such as Meet the Blacks, or on televisions shows like Wild'N'Out and Sneakerheads. And this weekend, you can catch him on the stage in a more intimate environment at the Tacoma Comedy Club. Makes sure you buy your tickets ahead of time, because they'll be more expensive at the door (that is, if there are any left.)
