Nug of the Week: Dos Reinas by Tranquil Forest

tranquil forest does reinas

It's official - after many years asking, The Reef finally has Tranquil Forest on our shelves! Let me be clear with you about one thing: you could close your eyes and point to a strain from Tranquil Forest and know that it's going to be a hitter. That being said, one strain rose above the rest in my eyes, and that's the Dos Reinas. When we got our shipment in, of course the first thing we did was run the gauntlet of strains to see how they hit. That being said, I got stuck on the Dos Reinas (Dosido x Drama Queen) and had to take a break after one bowl, because that's how high I got. The nose wasn't much on first sniff - slight hints of sweet and earthy, but the terms really shined through after grinding up the nug. The high itself was, in one word, dumb. I couldn't hold a normal conversation, and every other word was a fit of giggles. For an experienced stoner with a ridiculous tolerance, this type of high is one that I chase every day, and I finally found it. Here are some fun activities that I recommend doing around Washington while smoking on some of the Dos Reinas.

Winter Beerfest 2021 - Magnuson Park, Seattle, WA

The ever-popular Winter Beer Festival takes place at Hangar 30 in Magnuson Park in the Sand Point neighborhood of Seattle. This holiday beer tasting tradition will feature 26 Washington state breweries pouring your favorite dark malty stouts, robust winter warmers, barrel-aged gems, piney IPAs and many more unique beers. Grab your Dos Reinas, grab your tickets, and have a merry time! For more information, click here.

Monster Jam - Tacoma Dome, Tacoma, WA

Who doesn't love watching huge trucks flying through the air and crashing? Monster Jam is the same event we loved as kids but better because we're adults and can smoke weed now! Relive the excitement of your childhood in Tacoma and check out those acrobatic trucks. Get your tickets here!

Peninsula Dance Theatre's The Nutcracker - Bremerton High School, Bremerton, WA

The Nutcracker is a timeless ballet that brings both young and old together. Join the Peninsula Dance Theatre as they travel with Clara and her prince on a magical journey through the Land of Sweets. Watch Clara’s dream come to life. You will be mesmerized by the holiday party, swirling snowflakes, waltzing flowers, and the Sugar Plum Fairy. This season you’ll be able to enjoy the Nutcracker you know, along with new and exciting choreography.

Bainbridge Island Studio Tour - Grange Hall, Bainbridge Island, WA

Who doesn't love to get high and go look at some art? The Bainbridge Island Studio Tour is a twice-yearly self guided art show that lasts for three days. Take the time to truly appreciate the craftsmanship of the local hand-made art, and if the right piece speaks to you, pick up some art as well!

MAT ZO at Q Nightclub - Seattle, WA

Matan Zohar, known by his stage name Mat Zo, is an artist recognized for his complex, genre-bending style and ever-changing soundscapes. Throughout his childhood, he grew up surrounded by music. “My mom’s a music teacher and taught me from a very young age, so I’ve been composing since as long as I can remember,” he says. Mat learned to play the guitar, bass, and drums early on, began producing music at the age of 13, and started DJing two years later. See him perform at Q Nightclub this weekend! Get your tickets here or at the door.
