ARTIST – SAM LACHOW:

Sam Lachow is a producer, songwriter, rapper, videographer, director, and editor of video and music. In 2011 Sam released his debut project as a solo artist, "Brand New Bike". Produced entirely by Sam, the album utilized many live instruments from musicians based in Seattle and New York. The next year Sam released 2 EP's, and produced/directed dozens of music videos from the projects on his YouTube channel, which now has over 7 million views.

After successfully raising 20K on Kickstarter in 2014, Sam’s second full length album Huckleberry independently debuted #6 on iTunes Hip Hop. He then unexpectedly released a free project titled 80 Bars, which surpassed a million plays on Soundcloud for multiple songs. Riding that momentum Sam became the first local headliner to sell out Seattle’s 1,000 cap Neptune Theater, co-headlined a 29 city national tour, and rocked the main stage at Washington's biggest music festival Sasquatch.

Sam’s latest EP Friends, Funk & Liquor debuted at #2 on iTunes Hip Hop top albums. Look for a brand new full-length album from Sam Lachow in 2019. Visit his twitter to stay up-to-date on the details HERE.

ARTIST – NACHO PICASSO:

Nacho Picasso will be Sam Lachow's special guest performer on 4/19 at the afterparty. Nacho has notably released several collaborative albums with Blue Sky Black Death. The Seattle Times has described him as "our new anti-hero: a party-hardy street-boss, whose songs are full of dark humor." His latest album Nachferatu officially arrives on April 5.

ARTIST – TIM KENNEDY:

Tim Kennedy is one of the shining stars of the current Northwest jazz scene, and jazz is just the beginning. You'll find him playing classic rock in the group Hot Rod, electric keys in the modern jazz trio Gravity, doing solo gigs as pianist, guitarist and/or singer, and often embracing electronic dance music as his alter ego Richie Aldente.

ARTIST COOPERATIVE – FLIGHT x HEAD TRIPS DJs:

Flight Head x Trips – is a cannabis brand and artist cooperative born and raised in Capitol Hill. Flight is fully independent and 100% artist owned. The brand consists of designers, MCs, artists + music & tastemakers. Watch Nacho Picasso talk about how meaningful it is to have the brand featured on the hill where it all started. We are excited to showcase THREE of Flight's DJs at the SPLIFF Film Festival official afterparty.

ABOUT SPLIFF:

The SPLIFF Film Festival is where filmmakers, artists, animators, and stoners share original film shorts exploring stoner themes. From serious takes on pot culture to stoner comedy to mind-blowing weirdness—they all have a home at SPLIFF. Creative types of all stripes entertain, challenge, and amaze SPLIFF audiences with short films that examine and/or celebrate recreational marijuana use and its liberating effects on our imaginations, appetites, libidos, and creative energies. At SPLIFF, you’ll see films that will make you laugh, films that will make you think, and films that will make you ask, “What the fuck was that?!” SPLIFF is a film festival by stoners, for stoners.
